Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information that applies to our Service, and your choices about the collection and use of your information.

Data Collection:

• The following types of data are collected:
• Location data (city specific)
• User Device data (for example, type of phone, operating system, and operating system version number)
• Data collected is uploaded to Google Analytics for analyzing app trends such as:
• Video view analytics
• Course completion analytics
• Data collected is not personally identifiable. The Air Force Culture and Language Center, or any party involved in handling said data, has no means of relaying data back to any specific user.
• Data is stored in Google Analytics for 14 months after which it is permanently deleted.
• Certain information is asked from the user in order to generate a formal certificate pdf file once the user has completed a course. The user is asked for their full name and their rank. This information is NOT stored. It is used to make a temporary pdf file that the user may choose to download to their device or save for later use.

How is the Data Collected:

• The data is collected by using React-Native firebase to send event-driven data to Google Analytics for analysis and 14-month storage.
• The moment a user opens the application, the react-native firebase configurations within AFCLC's Culture Guide app begin to send event-driven data concerning how a user interacts with the app.

What Do We Do With the Collected Data:

• Data collected from the app is analyzed and used to assess the following information:
• Which videos are most viewed
• Which courses are most completed

THE APP DOES NOT collect personal information such as a user's name, address, email, phone number, age, sex, marital status, race, nationality, or religious belief.

Data Sharing:

• Data collected is potentially shared with the following entities:
• The development team:
• Booz Allen Hamilton
• Metro Accounting and Professional Services
• The product owners:
• The United States Government
• The United States Air Force
• Air University
• Air Force Culture and Language Center
• Data collected is not sold to any third-party companies.
• Data collected is solely used for the analytic understanding of how the pap is being used and how the content is being consumed.

Secure Data Handling:

All data collected is stored on Google Analytics and thusly all data security resides with Google.

Data Retention and Deletion Policy:

• Data collected is retained for up to 14 months for analytic review, after which the data is permanently deleted.
• All data collected is stored on Google Analytics and is anonymous. There is no way of personally identifying any individuals with the collected data. Therefore, there is no way of adhering ot specific user data deletion requests.
